Change tracking between versions is the feature that solves a genuine problem. An engineer returning to a design after a week can see what changed rather than rebuilding it from memory or reimplementing something that was revised.
Generated code is a starting point and nothing more. It describes visual properties without knowing the component structure, the state handling or the responsive behaviour the codebase already has, and pasting it produces markup that looks right and fits nothing.

Good handover is mostly about what the file does not say. Responsive behaviour between breakpoints, empty and error states, loading behaviour and long-content cases are the questions engineers ask, and a file that answers them in advance removes most of the back and forth.
