What a dedicated development team means at Azendo
The word gets stretched in this industry, so here is the specific version.
The test for whether a dedicated software development team is genuinely dedicated is simple: ask who else the engineer worked for last month. If the answer is another client, the arrangement is a shared pool with a different name on the invoice.
Team composition is reviewed monthly rather than fixed at signature. A team that started as two engineers and a designer frequently needs QA by the second year, and that change goes through your service delivery manager rather than a new procurement round.
Assigned, not shared Your specialists work on your product. They are not quietly split across two other clients between sprints.
The same faces The engineer who learns your codebase in month one is the engineer still in it in year three.
One service delivery manager One person plans, checks quality and reports. Not a rotating account contact.
Capacity that moves Add hours or a discipline at the next monthly cycle without reopening the agreement.
Working from our floor Our offices, our equipment, our network. Nothing subcontracted onward.
What a dedicated development team costs per month
The same arithmetic as a single specialist, multiplied. We count each person’s working hours across a year, subtract leave and public holidays, divide by twelve, and that average becomes the committed monthly capacity. One invoice, same figure every month.
One agreement covers the whole team regardless of how many disciplines it spans. One monthly fee, one committed capacity in hours, one service delivery manager accountable across all of it. There is no per-person line and no separate management charge.
Most teams settle between four and twelve specialists. Below four the coordination overhead rarely justifies a full delivery manager; above twelve we would usually suggest splitting into two teams with separate roadmap ownership.
