# Webflow.

Webflow is a visual web development platform producing production sites from a design canvas, with a CMS, hosting and interactions, aimed at designers building sites without writing code.

## Where Webflow fits on a long engagement.

Webflow is genuinely good at what it targets. A designer can build and publish a marketing site with real responsive behaviour and a CMS, without a development cycle for every change, which for a marketing team that iterates frequently removes a persistent bottleneck.

It has a clear ceiling. Complex application logic, deep integration with internal systems and anything requiring server-side processing are outside what it does, and projects that push past that boundary end up with fragile third-party workarounds holding a business process together.
