# Azure Integration Services.

Azure Integration Services is Microsoft's integration suite — Logic Apps for workflows, API Management, Service Bus for messaging and Event Grid for events — used together or individually inside an Azure estate.

## Where Azure Integration Services fits on a long engagement.

The suite is composable rather than monolithic, which is its practical advantage. A team can adopt Service Bus for reliable messaging without committing to the whole stack, and add API Management later when an API surface actually needs governing.

Logic Apps is excellent for straightforward workflows and becomes unwieldy for complex logic. A workflow with extensive branching and transformation expressed in a designer is harder to reason about than the equivalent code, and the boundary between them is a judgement worth making deliberately.

## What an assigned team does with Azure Integration Services.

Consumption pricing makes cost hard to predict. A Logic App triggered far more often than anticipated produces a bill nobody forecast, and there is no capacity limit to make the overrun visible before it happens.
