# What we will and will not take on.

Values are only useful if they rule something out. These four do.

## Humans first, resources after.

We care about the people doing the work and the people we serve. Performance matters, but never at the cost of the people delivering it.

## Customer obsessed.

We start from a partner’s needs rather than our own scope. If an engagement is not right for us, we say so on the first call.

## Communication is our oxygen.

Clear, early, and honest. A [service delivery manager](https://azendo.co/how-it-works/) tells you when something is off track before you have to ask.

## Frihed under ansvar.

Freedom under responsibility. Specialists own their commitments rather than being watched, which is also why they stay.

These show up in practice through our [Talent Success and Academy](https://azendo.co/talent-success-academy/) programme, which is how specialists are trained and developed before assignment.

The practical test of all four is what happens when something goes wrong. A delayed sprint, a specialist who is not performing, a scope that turned out larger than anyone estimated. Our answer is that you hear about it from us first, with an option already attached.

With great freedom comes great responsibility. This philosophy guides our leadership, decision-making and daily operations.
