# The offshore software development company behind your team.

We are an offshore software development company in Chiang Mai, Thailand, run by a Danish founder who arrived in 2010 and never left. Our specialists are assigned to one roadmap and stay on it, sometimes for years. A service delivery manager runs the work and answers for it. You keep the roadmap, the priorities and the code.

## Built for roadmaps, not tickets.

We're not the right fit for a 50-hour job. We work with companies carrying a roadmap they can't staff fast enough — where the need is sustained, the engagement runs for years, and the team has to know the codebase as well as you do. If that's your situation, we're built for it.

That shape rules some work out. A discovery phase, a fixed-scope build with a delivery date and an end, a single integration someone needs finished this quarter — those are jobs for an agency, and we will point you to one rather than take them.

What we are built for is the opposite problem. A product with a backlog that keeps growing, a team that cannot recruit fast enough to meet it, and no appetite for standing up an engineering function in another country. That is where an offshore development team assigned to one roadmap stops being a cost decision and starts being a capacity decision.

## Four steps to added software capacity.

From first brief to a delivery team at full pace takes four to six weeks. You approve every step before it happens.

Step 01

### Share the scope

A short brief is enough. We turn it into a delivery plan and a monthly capacity you approve.

Step 02

### We compose the team

We select and assign the AI-trained specialists, and manage them once they are on your roadmap.

Step 03

### Delivery starts

Your tools, your sprint rhythm, an Azendo service delivery manager answering for output.

Step 04

### Capacity moves with you

Raise or lower committed hours at the next monthly cycle.

## Any software discipline,
one delivery centre.

Draw on established software disciplines in Thailand and extend your delivery capacity — at full commitment, for the long run. AI-trained specialists build with modern tooling from day one. Take one discipline, or stitch several together into one delivery team.

Most partners start with one discipline and add a second inside the first year. A backlog problem turns out to be a release problem. A platform that was fine last year will not survive the next enterprise security review. Because capacity moves at the monthly cycle rather than through a new contract, adding QA or DevOps to a running agreement is a conversation rather than a procurement round.

Every line works the same way underneath. Specialists assigned to one roadmap, inside your repositories and your sprint rhythm, with a service delivery manager accountable for what ships and a [committed monthly capacity](https://azendo.co/pricing/) written into the agreement.

### One agreement, however many disciplines

A team spanning four disciplines is still one monthly fee, one capacity in hours and one point of contact. There is no per-discipline charge and no separate management line.

## We know your sector, not just your stack.

Assigned specialists already know your sector's tools, integrations and compliance requirements, so the first sprint is productive.

Sector familiarity changes what the first sprint costs rather than what the work is. A specialist who has worked on payments already knows what a reconciliation break looks like. One who has worked in logistics knows carrier integrations fail at predictable points. Without that, the first month goes into building context somebody else already had.

It matters most where the constraint is not technical. Financial services software carries audit requirements that shape how it is built. Retail has a peak season that cannot slip. Healthcare and insurance both carry data handling rules that are cheaper to design around than to retrofit.

### Where we have not worked before

We say so. It is rarely a blocker for software work, but it does change how much discovery the first sprint needs, and that belongs in the estimate rather than in a surprise.

### The same model in every sector

Whichever sector you are in, the arrangement does not change. You [outsource software development services](https://azendo.co/services/software-development/) to specialists assigned to your roadmap, and an Azendo service delivery manager answers for what they deliver.

[Not listed? Tell us the domain →](https://azendo.co/industries/)

## You set the direction.
We run the software delivery team.

You own the roadmap. We own how it gets built, who builds it, and whether it is good enough to ship — in your repositories, on your pipeline, to standards agreed at scoping.

### A fixed monthly agreement

You pay the same amount every month for an agreed monthly capacity in hours. The capacity is set as a yearly average, with annual leave and public holidays already deducted, so some months run higher and some lower and the price never moves.

### One service delivery manager, one point of contact

Your service delivery manager runs planning, quality and reporting on our side, and answers for the whole team. You talk to one person, not six.

### Built to stay

The same specialists stay with your roadmap for years, in your repositories and your process, so the knowledge compounds instead of resetting each quarter.

Delivering for partners worldwide

## Sixteen years as an offshore software development company in Thailand.

Most companies in this market are holding structures with delivery spread across four countries and a sales office somewhere expensive. We are one company, in one place, with our own floor in Chiang Mai and a second office in Bangkok.

That matters more than it sounds. When a specialist is assigned to your roadmap, they are sitting in our building, on our equipment, with a service delivery manager two desks away. Nothing is subcontracted onward.

We started in 2010 in Thailand as a small Danish agency called VSI GROUP. As we grew from agency work into delivering large-scale projects, we rebranded to Azendo in 2022, from the Latin _ascendo_, to scale and grow — the same thing we help our partners do.

[Mikkel Schmidt CEO & Founder · Why Azendo](https://azendo.co/why-azendo/)

### Humans first, resources after

We care about the people we work with and the people we serve. Results and performance matter, just never at the expense of the humans delivering them.

### We are proudly customer obsessed

Our customers are our partners. We do not succeed if our partners do not succeed, so we start from their needs, challenges and ambitions rather than our own scope.

### Communication is our oxygen

Consistent, clear and purposeful communication, with a service delivery manager who tells you early when something is off track. No relationship survives without it.

### We lead with frihed under ansvar

"With great freedom comes great responsibility." Freedom and responsibility stay in balance, so specialists own their commitments instead of being watched.

## Questions we get on the first call

Are you a staffing company or a software development company?

A software development company. The distinction matters in practice, not just on paper. A staffing provider finds you people and hands over management. We assign specialists to your roadmap and an Azendo service delivery manager keeps planning, quality and output on our side. You review the work. You never manage the individuals.

How is this different from a project agency?

An agency sells you a finished project and moves on. We stay. The same delivery team, working to your roadmap, month after month — long enough to know your product as well as you do.

Who manages the specialists?

We do. A service delivery manager runs quality and reporting day to day. You set priorities and review the work — you're never managing individuals directly.

How is capacity measured and priced?

By committed monthly delivery capacity, sized to your roadmap. When we assign a specialist we calculate their working hours across a full year, deduct annual leave, public holidays and personal leave, then divide by twelve — that average is the capacity written into the agreement. The fee is fixed per month and does not change with holidays or absence. We'll quote it after the scoping call.

How quickly can delivery start?

Usually four to six weeks after signing, depending on what's involved. We'll give you a real date in the proposal, not a range.

Can we change the mix of disciplines later?

Yes — scope shifts, and the team shifts with it. Adding a discipline doesn't mean tearing up the agreement and starting over.

What happens if it is not working?

Talk to the service delivery manager first — we'll fix it or tell you honestly why we can't. Either way, the exit terms are in the agreement, not a fight.

## Choosing an offshore software development company

The decision usually comes down to four questions. Who actually does the work, who manages them day to day, who is accountable when a sprint slips, and what happens when the person you liked leaves. Most providers answer the first clearly and the other three vaguely.

Our answers are that the work is done by named specialists in our own offices in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, that an Azendo service delivery manager manages them, and that the same manager is accountable continuously rather than at milestones rather than only when something has already slipped.

The model suits companies with a roadmap that keeps producing work and no appetite for building a second engineering organisation abroad. It suits companies with a finite project considerably less well, and we will say so early.

If you are still comparing engagement models rather than providers, [staff augmentation vs managed services](https://azendo.co/blog/engagement-models/staff-augmentation-vs-managed-services/) sets out the difference in one page. If you already know you want an assigned team, outsource software development services covers what that looks like discipline by discipline, and committed monthly capacity covers what it costs.

## Let us look at your roadmap.

Thirty minutes with a service delivery manager. You will hear what we would deliver, what capacity it takes and what we would not take on.
